Concentrating his practice in the areas of estate, business and post-mortem planning and litigation, Mr. Cavanaugh is a frequent speaker for public and professional groups. An academic All-American football player and a captain of the 1994 Division III National Champion Albion College Britons, Mr. Cavanaugh graduated cum laude in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. A 1998 graduate (J.D., cum laude) from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, he has authored numerous articles on estate and business planning, particularly addressing the uses of life insurance. Mr. Cavanaugh is a member of the State Bar of Michigan (Member: Estates and Probate; Real Estate); American Bar Association; and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Tom has been selected by his peers as a Michigan “Rising Star” in the areas of estate and post-mortem planning.
